My name is Keith Baker & I am the current leader of TSUNAMI. I am married to Kathy and I have a son (Chris) & a daughter (Tiffany). I grew up in church but made some bad choices as a teen including experimenting with drugs. At 16 years old I recommitted my life to Christ. It’s like I woke up one day and realized that most of my friends were having a lot of fun, but they were NOT happy. I started watching my friends and their families closely and realized that some were unhappy, some were lonely, some were hurting and some were very angry, but very few were happy. It became obvious to me that money, clothes, popularity and partying can be fun but will not make you happy. The only thing that can truly make you happy is God and understanding that he has a plan for your life. He gave everyone (even you) specific gifts, talents and even desires that will align with his plan for you. Therefore it is the coolest thing when you use those gifts and talents to accomplish that plan. Since recommitting my life to Christ, I have gone bungee jumping, white water rafting, snow skiing, water skiing and sky diving, yet there is nothing more thrilling than being used by God to help someone else discover God’s plan for their life. I am NOT perfect (not even close…just ask Kathy) but I live each day with a smile thanks to my God.
